Fleeing from Home

When Victor began working on his project/creation, he never contacted his family, or anyone for that matter. I, for one, do not know why he thinks that is okay. It wasn't healthy at all to seclude himself while going mad over his studies. Do you think it was the shock of his mother's death that drove him to try and find "the spark of life", or could it be something more?

  1. I think what drove him to figure out how to create life was his love of science. His mother dying only effected his emotions. I think he is just a man with a lot of love for science!

  2. I have a different opinion than Nathan. I think his mothers death did have something to do with it because maybe he thought that if he could put a monster like this together then he could do the same with his mother and bring her back to life too. I mean the science thing really only just made it possible for him to do that but he loved his family and maybe it was because he couldnt let go.

  3. I think that after the death of his mother, Victor wanted to make people immune to disease and began his experiments by creating the creature.

  4. I agree, he shouldn't have isolated himself like that. But, now that you mention it, I definitely think that it's a possibility that he wanted to create life because of his mother's death.
